Research

My research, which broadly spans  dynamic treatment regimes, high dimensional association,  and shape constrained inference, is best summarized by the following picture.

My main activities in these research areas  revolve around developing methodologies that are not only suitable for complex real-world applications but also have strong theoretical foundations and rigorous guarantees. However, the main scientific questions behind my  pursuits mainly stem from healthcare or biomedical applications involving complex unstructured data. Specific examples of such applications include questions arising from personalized medicine, electronic health records data, cancer genomics, and HIV clinical trials.
